JULY 24-25 - Cicala (CZ)

A symbol of Cicala’s roots, St. James, descending from thunder, crosses the town on his feast day, borne by the soft, entrancing sound of the praying procession. The sacred ritual is followed by a festival, amidst sumptuously laid tables and popular dances, right through to the fireworks display held in the evening. Festival days: 24-25 July.
